Children: Ervin and Octava had one child, Bonnie Jane (Jackson) Riddle, born in Houston, Texas on April 29, 1930. She passed away in Dallas, Texas on Jan. 31, 2023.

Our Ancestors' Story [Generations 9/10]

Ervin Jackson was born on January 9, 1894 when his parents, Jury and Annie Jackson, lived on a farm near Olney, Illinois. According to the Jury Jackson Family Bible, Ervin married Octava Boozer on June 21, 1928; no personal information is recorded about Octava's birth and her family background. Ervin and Octava were the parents of one daughter, Bonnie Jane, born in Houston, Texas on April 29, 1930. Ervin Jackson became a minister in the Methodist Church, and by the 1950s, he was serving a congregation in Kilgore, Texas where he died of a heart attack in September, 1953. The date of Octava (Boozer) Jackson's death is unknown, as is the locations of both of their respective burials.

**************** [Generations 10/11] Bonnie Jane (Jackson) Riddle, who was born in Houston, Texas on April 29, 1930, married Charles Riddle, also from Texas. Charles Riddle was born in Graham, Texas on July 3, 1930 and passed away in Frisco, Texas on Feb. 19, 2013. Bonnie (Jackson) Riddle was highly involved in the Methodist Church all her life; she was an organist, piano teacher, a Girl Scout leader, and handbell director. She was also instrumental in creating a Handbell Program at Brookhaven Community College in Dallas, TX. She was a choir director until the age of 89. Charles and Bonnie had three children: two daughters and one son. Their family legacy and lineage continue through their three children. Bonnie (Jackson) Riddle died on Jan. 31, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.
